During the 26th Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival, we will welcome to Bolesławiec Jan Kanty Pawluśkiewicz, one of the best-known composers of film, theatre and popular music.

The co-founder of the Anawa cabaret, composer of music for many hits by, among others, Marek Grechuta, Andrzej Zaucha and Grzegorz Turnau, and composer of numerous musical forms, including “Opera żebracza,” “Harfa Papuszy” and, together with Marek Grechuta, “Szalona lokomotywa,” will this time bring his paintings to Bolesławiec, created using the original gel-art technique. We will be able to view a highly interesting exhibition of his works from 21 August 2020 at the Municipal Public Library – Knowledge Centre.

Our music lovers are in for a real treat: in the atmospheric interior of the church at Zamkowy Square, on 22 August at 7:00 p.m., they will take part in an exceptional musical event: “Nieszpory Ludźmierskie,” an oratorio by Jan Kanty Pawluśkiewicz and Leszek Aleksander Moczulski, held to mark the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw and the 50th anniversary of the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bolesławiec.

Performing will be musicians from the Lower Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Wrocław Academic Choir under the baton of conductor Alan Urbanek, and the soloists: Ramona Rey, Beata Rybotycka, Joanna Freszel, Janusz Szrom, Andrzej Lampert, Jacek Wójcicki. Seating is limited.
