Over the past six weeks, under the supervision of instructors and specialists from Huta Stalowa Wola, soldiers of the 2nd Self-Propelled Artillery Squadron of the 23rd Artillery Regiment completed specialist training, culminating in live-fire exercises.

The first round was fired on the command of the self-propelled artillery battery commander, Capt. Łukasz Ratański, from a Krab self-propelled howitzer ultimately intended for the artillerymen from Bolesławiec. During the remainder of the training, in accordance with the prepared firing plan, the artillerymen carried out a range of different fire missions using individual howitzers, platoons and the entire battery.

It is a tradition that soldiers who carry out fire missions for the first time are admitted to the ranks of artillerymen. The ceremonial induction was performed by the visiting Head of the Rocket and Artillery Forces Directorate, Col. Zenon Wiśniewski. From then on, each of these young trainees became a member of the artillery guild. We congratulate all the young trainees and welcome them to our artillery community.
