On Wednesday, July 29, a session of the Bolesławiec City Council was held, once again online. Toward the end of Wednesday’s meeting, President Piotr Roman said a few words about the upcoming Ceramic Festival. He stressed that the decision to hold it after all was made by the municipal authorities following a meeting with Bolesławiec’s ceramic artists.
Cieszysz się, że Święto Ceramiki się odbędzie?
– There will be significantly fewer exhibitors – the mayor emphasized. Everything will, of course, take place in compliance with sanitary regulations. The flea market will probably be located near the Piarist School.
There will be neither a parade nor major concerts. But there is a chance that one of Jan Kanty Pawluśkiewicz’s most famous works will be performed in the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Castle Square).
(P. Roman added that opinions on whether the Ceramic Festival should take place at all are divided, but markets at Wesoła and Jeleniogórska Streets are operating in Bolesławiec anyway).
What do you think? Are you glad that the Ceramic Festival will take place this year? We invite you to discuss the matter and vote in our poll.
