Officers from the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters received information about a 13-year-old resident of Lwówek County who got lost in the forest during a bicycle trip. – The duty officer immediately sent officers from Nowogrodziec to the forest area – reports asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters. – Then further information arrived that a young woman was standing by the motorway. The duty officer tried to contact the teenager, but difficulties arose because her phone was running out of battery.
The officers conducting the search, driving along the motorway, noticed the girl on the opposite side of the road. They could not reach the missing girl immediately in the official vehicle, so they split up.

The local police officer reached the frightened teenager on foot by crossing the A4. He established that nothing had happened to her and that she felt well. The resident of Lwówek County explained that she had left her bicycle in the forest and had crossed the fence herself before reaching the motorway. The officer went to retrieve the bicycle, and once the police car arrived, the 13-year-old and her bicycle were taken to the Bolesławiec police headquarters and then handed over to a parent.
And she adds:
This time, the trip to another voivodeship [chodzi o województwo lubuskie – przyp. istotne.pl], to take a photo for a social media platform, ended happily, although without taking the planned picture.
The teenager returned home safe and sound. Interestingly, she had told her parents that she was going to a friend’s house.
