The incident occurred on Thursday, July 16, before 2:00 p.m., at the junction of Kościuszki and Modłowa streets in Bolesławiec (the economic zone), near the Bader company. Two vehicles collided: a truck and a Volkswagen Passat passenger car.
A Reader informed us about the incident:
A truck from Bader was pulling out and hit the passenger car. They are cutting the driver out.
The Passat was hit on the driver's side. To remove the injured person, firefighters had to cut apart the vehicle.
The Volkswagen driver was injured and was taken to hospital. All emergency services were at the scene.
According to police findings, the Ukrainian citizen driving a Volvo truck failed to yield the right of way to the Volkswagen driver. The Passat driver, a resident of Gromadka Municipality, was taken to hospital with a spinal injury. The incident was classified as a road accident.
