TOP’s table tennis players convincingly won their away match against Odra Głoska II Księgnice and earned their first “major” points in the competition. In the next round, they will face LZS Raszówka, whose players, like the Bolesławiec team, already have two points in the league standings. In the match against Odra, all of the club’s representatives scored points for TOP.
The match in Księgnice began similarly to TOP’s match in Wrocław. The first three victories went to the Bolesławiec players. Grzegorz Rogóż defeated Kamil Kaczmarek 3–2, Adrian Korzybski, who very much wanted to redeem himself in the eyes of the Bolesławiec supporters, gave Rafał Dworakowski no chance and beat him 3–0, while Łukasz Jaźwiec defeated Michał Galas 3–2. Only Tomasz Durajczyk lost, going down to Maciej Raczyński.
The doubles matches proved to be TOP’s strength this time. Both the Jaźwiec/Rogóż and Durajczyk/Korzybski pairings defeated their opponents 3–1. TOP Bolesławiec were now leading 5–1 and needed only one more win to secure two “major” match points. Łukasz Jaźwiec sealed TOP’s victory by clearly defeating K. Kaczmarek 3–0. Further victories, by G. Rogóż over M. Galas 3–0 and A. Korzybski over M. Raczyński 3–2, only increased the hosts’ margin of defeat. T. Durajczyk, playing with somewhat less luck that day, lost the final match to R. Dworakowski 3–2; it is worth noting that the Bolesławiec player even had match point in that encounter. Ultimately, TOP won 8–2 and moved up to sixth place in the standings. Odra Głoska II Księgnice – TOP Bolesławiec 2:8
Points for TOP were scored by: Łukasz Jaźwiec – 2.5; Adrian Korzybski – 2.5; Grzegorz Rogóż – 2.5; and Tomasz Durajczyk – 0.5.
