– Police officers detained a father and son who were growing cannabis plants in their apartment; the father also possessed other narcotic substances – says junior inspector Edyta Bagrowska, press officer for the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra. – Officers seized cannabis plants, marijuana, methamphetamine and 21 ecstasy tablets. In total, the seized drugs could yield more than 340 individual sale doses.
But that was not the end of it. The spokesperson said: – In June this year, the detainees, acting jointly and in agreement, committed at least two thefts at one of the campsites near Karpacz.
The pair stole a reversing camera, an action camera, a Bluetooth speaker and two bicycles. The losses were estimated at approximately PLN 6,500. The cameras were recovered from one of the pawnshops in Jelenia Góra, while a resident of Kowary bought the bicycle. (Officers recovered property worth PLN 6,000).
Police are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case in detail. It is possible that the father and son have committed more crimes.
Both suspects now face a sentence of between three months and as much as five years in prison.
