Bayerische Motoren Werke celebrates Pride Month. Pride Month is observed to commemorate the anniversary of the first demonstrations by people with minority sexual orientations, which took place on June 28, 1969, in Greenwich Village in New York City. A rainbow flag was posted on the page followed by more than 20 million fans, owners and enthusiasts of the German car, with the BMW logo placed against its background. The company informed its fans that it believes in a world without discrimination and that there is no room for hatred or disrespect either within the company or on BMW’s social media channels.

At BMW, we live diversity. We believe in a culture of openness in which no one will be discriminated against, privileged or harassed because of their ethnic origin, skin color, nationality, gender, religion, disability or age. We are all people connected by the pure pleasure of driving. There is no room for hatred or disrespect either within our company or on our social media channels. That said, we encourage everyone to comment and act in a respectful and friendly manner.
