The polemic between the two Internet users is interesting enough that we decided it was worth sharing in this article. We are curious what you think about the food in Bolesławiec restaurants and encourage you to share your opinions. We are adding a poll featuring the restaurants described by Michał; you can vote for the one where you most like to eat. The full thread: Restaurants in Bolesławiec.

Unlike most commenters, I personally have a good and very good opinion of Bolesławiec restaurants and restaurateurs. Most of them have successfully run their own businesses for many years. What is more, they make money from it. So praise and honor to them for that! There will always be complainers. There is, for example, a category of trash customers, who obligatorily post negative comments simply on principle. Some customers, in turn, are ordinary gastronomic wanderers. They know everything better, have been everywhere and have ready-made recipes for perfect offerings and building an ideal image. Another segment of posts is made up of “worldly people”. They have been here and there and know what standards should be like. Such intellectual dwarfs, who cannot make anything work and have achieved nothing. And the fourth category: the most valuable customers. Those who have the courage to share a critical opinion directly with the establishment’s owner, manager or even a waiter. Those who can do so in a substantive, expert manner and make it helpful to the restaurateur. Unfortunately, this is the least numerous category.

Since I have probably eaten at every restaurant in Bolesławiec […], my opinion will not be as complimentary as yours. I should add that I worked in this business and it is my hobby. Perhaps I should get down to specifics. Instead of insulting customers, who are increasingly aware of what they pay for, what they are entitled to and what it should look like.
First up is Opałkowa Chata. Apart from its attractive appearance, the food is not impressive; I once got pork schnitzel with groats there. The groats came without any sauce, dry as bran, while the schnitzel was a classic homemade one. When I go to a restaurant, I want to eat better than I can cook for myself at home. The pierogi are good, but pierogi are difficult to ruin.
Next up is Willis: I was there recently and ordered toast with salad, curious what it would be. I received toast with cheese and mushrooms, and on the same plate there was lettuce without any dressing. My disappointment was enormous.
Season bistro and an adventure with a hamburger. What more is there to say? I will not come back for a hamburger.
Next, Good Burger. For heaven’s sake, they have gone crazy with the prices; they will not last long. Fries cost PLN 9, and I could fit them in my hand. Menu prices are like those on Krakowskie Przedmieście. I know rent costs money and the renovation expenses have to be recouped, but there are limits. Still, I will return for the steak, to see whether they make it better than I do at home on a gas burner. In total, for that price I would eat steaks at home all week, and I like to eat well.
Kliczków Castle, Folwark Książęcy and a hamburger (I like hamburgers). The only bigger pile of s*** is in the nearby stable. Whoever comes up with the dishes should also train the staff, who should care at least a little about the quality of the food. However, I am not surprised, because as they say: you get what you pay for. In a word, it was sh*t. The bun, which was supposed to be an advantage, was the final nail in the coffin. I do not recommend it to small children or older people with artificial teeth.
KOKU Sushi. [...] I arrive at 12:10 (it opens at 12:00), and a woman tells me I have to wait an hour and a half, two hours, because they are only just preparing?!!! What the f***??? For me, if it opens at 12:00, I place my order at 12:00, not wait. So I say thank you, and the lady is surprised that I do not want to wait!
Chilli Mili. The coating was a little hard, the fries were good. The portions were a little small; perhaps they are looking after their customers’ diets.
One could go on and on. However, my heart yearns for the hamburger from in front of the PKP railway station. And my dear Mr. Krzysztof, there is also a fifth category of customers. The worst one. Those who come, eat and never return or say a word to the waiter, because they know very well that he has nothing to do with the dish served.
Finally, I will add that if anyone knows where one can eat well, I will gladly listen and go there. Regards.
