The incident took place on June 22 at approximately 10:30 a.m. Officers from the Traffic Division of the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski stopped a driver who had got behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Passat while drunk.
– A resident of Bolesławiec County was driving his car with almost 2.5 per mille of alcohol in his system – reports Senior Constable Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer for the Lwówek police. – In addition, in Rakowice Małe he exceeded the speed limit by 23 km/h.
The officers seized the man's driving licence. The resident of our county will now answer for his actions before the court. The spokeswoman said: – He may face up to two years in prison and a driving ban of up to 10 years.
