On the A4 motorway, near Krzyżowa, a tow truck van collided with a heavy goods vehicle. The vehicles collided on the carriageway toward Wrocław. Emergency services are already at the scene.
Initial findings indicate that the tow truck van rear-ended the truck. The driver of the tow truck van was injured in the incident. He was trapped inside the vehicle, and firefighters had to use specialist equipment to free him. The man, who suffered leg injuries, was taken to hospital in Legnica. Four cars being transported on the tow truck were also damaged. In total, six vehicles were damaged in the incident.
The motorway toward Wrocław is blocked. As a result, Kościuszki Street—the route into Bolesławiec from the A4 and the area around the junction in Łąka—and the Bolesławiec bypass, from the roundabout at Kościuszki Street through Cieszkowskiego and onward toward Kruszyn, are gridlocked.

Traffic on the A4 resumed at approximately 7:00 p.m.
