On Saturday, September 19 – for the first time in Bolesławiec! – a meeting of the Convention of the Young Democrats Association of Lower Silesia was held. Among those attending the congress were, among others, county head Cezary Przybylski, chairman of the County Council Karol Stasik and Civic Platform MEP Piotr Borys.
“Every political party that is thinking about its development and wants to pursue long-term policies must have a strong support base,” the MEP said. “I would like to emphasize this: Civic Platform is the only party in Poland that cooperates with its youth wing so closely and so effectively.”
During the meeting, the Young Democrats elected a new leadership. Marcin Jasianek Marcin Jasianek from Wrocław became secretary of the Association, while Damian Czuń Damian Czuń from Rudna became treasurer (both were elected unanimously). Jarosław Dudek Jarosław Dudek was elected to the board of the Lower Silesian SMD. Bolesławiec resident Wojciech Kasprzyk Wojciech Kasprzyk, a co-organizer of Saturday’s congress, was re-elected deputy head of the Association in the region. Łukasz Wyszkowski Łukasz Wyszkowski from Wrocław remains chairman.
The young activists reviewed the SMD’s activities over the past six months and also developed an action plan for the next six months.
