Let us recall. We recently reported in our pages that huge sandy expanses known as inland wandering dunes stretch across Bolesławiec County, in Gromadka Municipality, whose boundaries encompass a large part of Przemkowski Landscape Park.
Even county residents are unaware of their existence. For years, these areas were inaccessible to civilians. They formed part of a training ground used by the Soviet military. Today, the dunes can be admired surrounded by the Lower Silesian Forests, with all their natural richness.
– Inland wandering dunes are a natural phenomenon on a European scale, says Tomasz Gabrysiak, Bolesławiec County governor. – The long weekend is an excellent time to admire the richness of our region. I invite everyone to visit Bolesławiec County.
