On Tuesday (June 9), officers from the District Police Headquarters in Złotoryja carried out an unusual intervention. A horse that had escaped from a farm in a nearby village was walking around the city. Fortunately, the animal was unharmed and, after police officers led it to a safe place, it was handed over to its owner.
The report reached the duty officer at around 5:30 a.m. One resident, who was driving to work, noticed a horse walking through the city streets. The patrol that went to the scene found the animal on Wojska Polskiego Street. The horse was marching along the sidewalk. It was exceptionally calm and paid no attention to the passing cars.
Fortunately, no dangerous incident involving the horse occurred. The officers managed to lead it to Jerzmanicka Street, where they waited for the owner to arrive. The man took the horse to the stable and undertook to inspect the fencing and secure the place from which the animal had escaped.
