The incident occurred on Friday, June 5, around noon. Firefighters from Nowogrodziec:
We were dispatched to a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) in Nowogrodziec. Six minutes after being dispatched, we arrived at the scene and immediately took over cardiopulmonary resuscitation from the family members.
During the fight for the woman’s life, the connected automated external defibrillator (AED) delivered two electric shocks. After approximately 10 minutes, a medical rescue team from Lubań arrived at the scene.
The firefighters added:
Together with the paramedics and doctor, we continued the medical procedures, and after approximately an hour of fighting, we managed to restore the injured person’s vital functions! She was taken to hospital. We—after decontaminating the equipment—finished our operations.
