Last Sunday (13 September), the Interprovincial Championships for U16 athletes were held at the OSiR Słubice Stadium. They served as qualifying competitions for the Polish Championships for athletes from the Lower Silesian and Lubusz voivodeships. MKS Bolesłavia was represented by 27 athletes.

The best performers from Bolesławiec’s athletics team were: Grzegorz Szuszkiewicz and Jagoda Brakoniecka in the hammer throw, Beata Dąbal in the discus throw and shot put (coach Tomasz Markowski), Paula Kowalik in the long jump (coach Małgorzata Markowska), Anna Twardowska in race walking and Zuzanna Trościńska in the high jump (coach Darek Marek).

After the competition, long jumper Paula Kowalik, hammer thrower Grzegorz Szuszkiewicz, and race walker, coached by Dariusz Marek, Anna Twardowska qualified for the J. Kusociński Small Memorial (Polish U16 Championships).

MKS Bolesłavia finished third at the Interprovincial Championships for U16 athletes, earning as many as 27 points in the youth sports system. The Bolesławiec club defeated such well-known clubs as MKS MOS Wrocław, AZS PWSZ Gorzów Wielkopolski and WKS Śląsk Wrocław. In the Lower Silesian Voivodeship standings, Bolesłavia was beaten only by MKS Osa Zgorzelec (28 points). More information and detailed results are available on the MKS Bolesłavia website.
