The government is beginning the second stage of returning to normal life. On Saturday (April 25), Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced that sports pitches would open on May 4. Up to 6 people will be allowed to be on them at the same time.
The Ekstraklasa football competition will return on May 29, and the speedway Ekstraliga on June 12. For now, both the football and speedway competitions will take place without spectators.
The Rzeczpospolita service reports on the subsequent stages of reopening sport: Rzeczpospolita:
In the third stage, school gyms and indoor facilities will open, also with a maximum of six people.
The fourth stage involves opening facilities such as swimming pools, gyms and bowling alleys. Decisions on moving to subsequent stages will depend on the state of the economy and hospital availability, the prime minister said. “I hope that after the fourth stage, competitions with spectators will return.”
