The incident took place on Thursday, April 23, at around 3:25 p.m. Volunteer firefighters from Nowogrodziec:
We received a serious call: a fire in a residential building. We set out on an emergency call with two units and reported to the scene within five minutes of being alerted.
The Nowogrodziec officers add:
Two people were in one of the apartments, which was filled with smoke. They were immediately evacuated by our firefighters. We then provided qualified first aid, including administering medical oxygen.
In addition to the firefighters from Nowogrodziec, firefighters from JRG Bolesławiec took part in the operation. The medical rescue team attended to those affected. The police are investigating the cause of the incident.
