On the weekend (29 and 30 August), the Polish Under-23 Athletics Championships were held in Bielsko-Biała. An excellent performance was delivered by Jacek Nabożny. The Bolesławiec athlete, who currently trains at AZS AWF Wrocław, scored 7,199 points in 10 events and won the title of Polish Under-23 Champion. Jacek Nabożny’s coach is Dariusz Łoś.
Jacek began his career at the Inter-School Sports Club Bolesłavia, under the guidance of coach Waldemar Krysztofiak. After starting his studies, the Bolesławiec athlete became a competitor for AZS AWF Wrocław. The title of Polish Under-23 Champion should be regarded as a major success and proof that youth athletics training in Bolesławiec produces results at senior level. The Under-23 title is one of Jacek Nabożny’s many outstanding achievements. In the 2009 season, the Bolesławiec athlete won a bronze medal at the Polish Senior Championships in the decathlon.
