The incident took place on Tuesday, 21 April. Volunteer firefighters from Krzyżowa (Gromadka municipality):
At 4:49 p.m., our unit was dispatched to a forest fire on the outskirts of the industrial zone in Osła, near the A4 motorway. Upon arriving at the scene, we found a forest fire in two locations a short distance from each other.
Our task in the first phase was to contain the fire, followed by extinguishing it and supplying water.

Approximately one hectare of forest undergrowth was burned.
