According to data from a year ago, almost 60% of Polish women and men believe that women should have the right to abortion on request up to the 12th week of pregnancy.
In the poll in the “Bolesławiec – sorry, że nie w temacie” group, 668 people had taken part by April 17, and 584 were in favor of the right to undergo an abortion. In around 200 comments, it was possible to read what members of the Bolesławiec group thought about the procedure.
Most comments were consistent with nationwide polls and expressed support for the right to abortion. Among these comments was the moving story of a woman who, in her own life, experienced how a state that bans abortion later fails to care for a sick child who has been born.
“Today we should fight not only for abortion; let it remain a matter of conscience for each of us. Today there is no proper care system for children who require treatment and rehabilitation. […] There is no care for women who, despite everything, want to give birth to a child while being aware that the child will die shortly afterward. […] Show me a place in Bolesławiec or the surrounding area, and a team of psychologists, where one can give birth even to a seriously ill child, say goodbye to them, etc., while being surrounded by care. There is none. And probably never will be, because our system really doesn’t give a damn. Neither does Kaja Godek. She should be promoting these places with her own face and actively working to establish them, just as actively as she opposes abortion. One could write about this at length. There is a lot to be done on every side of this issue. And those in power up there don’t care in the slightest.”

It seems to me that the question should be: are you for or against women having the right to abortion in three cases, because we are not talking about abortion just like that, because someone feels like it.
