In the Bolesławiec court hearing, witnesses testified who every month defend the lives of defenseless unborn children and fervently pray to God for them.
Their God is a god who punishes his followers without mercy. He killed David’s small child by bringing illness upon him for seven days. He ordered Abraham to kill his son and waited until the moment when the father had tied-up child and held a knife to his throat, ready to kill, before withdrawing his command. Their God killed every firstborn child of the Egyptians. Why should they show more mercy toward women who kill unborn children?
Their world is simple and beautiful. Families love one another. Children are born wanted. The unwanted are entrusted to good hands. Mothers and fathers are loving.
“If a wise, loving mother walks past our banner with her child, she can explain to the child what is on it,” one of the witnesses testified during the trial. “She then tells the child that she and its father loved it and brought it into the world, while the mother of that bloody fetus did not love it and therefore killed it,” she explained.
Another witness supports her. She paints a vision of an even more beautiful world.
“Why kill? A child can be given to a baby hatch, or left at a hospital. Even birds and their nests are protected by law during the nesting season, while a defenseless child is not to have a chance at such protection? We respect our mothers because they gave birth to us. And what if the child killed in its mother’s womb would have become a future scientist, artist, or outstanding inventor?” she adds to the picture of a world in which every life matters.
According to the witnesses, depopulation is underway in Poland. They have their own evidence, such as the fact that in a locality near Bolesławiec more than 140 children died within one year, while only 80 were born. The woman who spoke about this in court wanted to explain where the data came from, but the court interrupted her. It was not interested.
And yet she is fighting for Poland to survive, because “one-third of the Polish nation is being murdered through abortion. A child is not a toy; the fact that it cannot be seen because it is in its mother’s belly does not mean it is not there.”
Another witness claims that the initiator of the banner protest, a man from Wrocław, is fighting for the lives of Poles and should receive the War Order of Virtuti Militari. The witness passionately tried to convince the court of this.
And if someone is offended by the banner’s true message, showing a murdered unborn child, they can avoid the market square while it is being heroically displayed. After all, they do this only once a month for about half an hour. Why do they stand in the market square instead of praying in church? Their answer is simple: children are not killed in churches.
In the Bolesławiec court hearing, witnesses testified who every month stand in the market square beneath a banner showing a torn-apart, naked human fetus and recite the rosary.
They say they are concerned with unborn fetuses and embryos, calling them children, but in our view they are concerned with preventing women from enjoying their sexuality and intimate lives. According to them, sex is meant to create life, like with the birds mentioned above, not to give a woman pleasure without consequences. Punishment and a strong message are needed. The banner is meant to tell women: perhaps it was fun to let loose, but look at the consequences awaiting you if you do not give birth to the conceived child. You will be a murderer. The bloody fetus must therefore be suggestive.
Sometimes they see people passing them by and tapping their foreheads, but they do not care. More important to them is the homeless man who prayed with them, supported them, and asked them for a few złoty. Did they consider that he approached them as he approaches anyone who does not pass him by, in an effort to get money?
A 78-year-old woman who prays beneath the banner every month testifies that she actually cannot see what is on it because, due to her age, she is blind in one eye and has an eye disease in the other. Yet from fifty meters away she can see people waving away a journalist who was asking how the banner made them feel. Is it a miracle that she saw him despite her blindness? Or does her world nevertheless contain a dispensation for lying?
During Poland’s presidential election, the bloodied fetus was juxtaposed with a politician. In this way, part of the electorate can be made to loathe a political opponent. Do good people and defenders of conceived life see this manipulation? Do they feel politically exploited by the man from Wrocław whom they want to decorate for bravery? No. When asked, they answer that there is no manipulation. There is God, divine law, and their moral superiority over child murderers.
