– We know that we will have to adopt a completely new budget this year; we will have to move from a development strategy to a survival strategy. This survival will require enormous budget cuts – said Piotr Roman, the mayor. – Most investments will be removed this year. There will be savings on everything. I am afraid that we will also be unable to avoid staff cuts, at least in some institutions. But we will try to protect the most vulnerable people: single mothers, single fathers and people with disabilities.
Bolesławiec mayor announces layoffs in municipal institutions
Piotr Roman spoke about the matter during the April session of the City Council.
