20,000 masks arrived in Bolesławiec before the holidays, with another 20,000 to follow after the holidays. The masks are packed in protective plastic bags together with operating instructions. Officials and staff of various institutions, including employees of the Centrum Wiedzy and BOK – MCC, are packing the masks. Packing is continuing because the manufacturers are sending the order in batches, trying to fulfill all orders.
“The masks will be delivered in batches, first to the Housing Cooperative, because its president promised to handle distribution, and then to the largest property managers, who also declared that they would distribute the masks to residents in their buildings,” says the City Hall spokesperson. “The Miejski Zakład Gospodarki Komunalnej will also help deliver them to single-family homes. We are managing with our own resources so as not to involve anyone else,” adds Agnieszka Gergont.
What do those delivering the free masks use to determine how many should be delivered to an apartment or house? Waste collection fees contain information about the number of people in the household.
“This is the simplest way to verify the number of people who should receive masks. Most people will have them delivered to their homes and mailboxes. The first batch is expected to reach SM Bolesławianka as early as tomorrow,” says Agnieszka Gergont.
