The incident took place on Friday, 3 April. Volunteer firefighters from Krzyżowa:
At 10:36 p.m., our unit was dispatched to a burning car between Krzyżowa and Lipiany, on a dirt road by the forest.
Fortunately, no one was hurt. The firefighters extinguished the fire.
In addition to the firefighters from Krzyżowa, uniformed officers from JRG Bolesławiec and a police patrol took part in the operation. The police are investigating the case. If arson is confirmed, the perpetrator or perpetrators could face between three months and as many as five years in prison.
