Thanks to the free cooperation, around 200 samples from Lower Silesia will be tested each day. This is another laboratory helping to diagnose people infected with COVID-19 in the region. The samples will be delivered by the sanitary inspection, and we will receive the results by email on the same day. The cooperation is the result of many years of excellent collaboration between Lower Silesia and the Free State of Saxony.

Thanks to the initiative of the regional government, three more laboratories have joined the two facilities initially operating at the hospital on Borowska Street and at the Wrocław sanitary inspection. Today, samples are additionally tested at the laboratories of the hospital on Koszarowa Street, the Lower Silesian Oncology Center, and the Institute of Medical Microbiology and Hygiene of the Faculty of Medicine in Dresden. Another facility will begin operating next week at the Regional Specialist Hospital on Kamieńskiego Street in Wrocław.

“Lower Silesia is conducting the most tests in Poland. Their number is crucial for reliably estimating the scale of infections and effectively combating them. Every day, we gain new tools in the fight against the pandemic,” says Marshal Cezary Przybylski.
