Firefighters:

Notice to the Residents of Bolesławiec Municipality!

In connection with the state of epidemic declared in our country, and therefore the very difficult social and living situation of the residents of our municipality, we inform you that all Volunteer Fire Service units operating in Bolesławiec Municipality, in consultation with the Municipal Head and in cooperation with the Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Kruszyn, will be available to you—particularly elderly, sick, disabled or quarantined people—to carry out shopping and deliver basic necessities essential for everyday functioning, such as food, hygiene products and medicines, to your homes, while observing the required safety precautions in this regard.

Please direct requests in this regard by telephone to:

  • Municipal Social Welfare Centre in Kruszyn: tel. 75 732 14 59;
  • Volunteer Fire Service in Brzeźnik: tel. 515 277 089;
  • Volunteer Fire Service in Ocice: tel. 603 930 305, 726 968 842;
  • Volunteer Fire Service in Stare Jaroszowice: tel. 508 303 574;
  • Volunteer Fire Service in Trzebień: tel. 691 730 514, 723 657 346.

When calling, please choose the VFS unit closest to your place of residence. At the same time, when reporting the above-mentioned needs, please provide the necessary information about your health condition in the context of the epidemic, including whether you may be in quarantine, etc. This will allow us to properly prepare the appropriate protective equipment for our rescuers to carry out these tasks.

Please do not conceal from the firefighters the fact that you have been in places where the coronavirus was present, or that someone is in quarantine because of suspected coronavirus infection.

The duty officer answering a telephone request for assistance addressed to the firefighters will always ask about this. Concealing this fact may lead to a situation in which the firefighters providing assistance are, in accordance with procedures, withdrawn from rescue and firefighting operations in order to be tested or placed under a 14-day quarantine.

In most cases, during our interventions, we also provide first aid. Information about possible contact with the coronavirus will enable firefighters to protect themselves even better while providing assistance, and after returning to their units we will know that, for example, we must disinfect the equipment used during the intervention.

At the same time, we assure you that we will never refuse to provide assistance. We appeal for reason and honesty when informing us about possible contact with the coronavirus. If we know about the danger in advance, we will be able to deal calmly with possible exposure to the virus, ensuring the safety of both the injured person and the firefighters.

Above all, we wish you all health and perseverance during this difficult time for us all.

We remain at the disposal of the residents of our municipality—the VFS firefighters of Bolesławiec Municipality.

Thank you!
