Pączkarnia Marceli was the first to launch an initiative supporting hospital staff in Bolesławiec. However, no one expected the campaign to become so popular in the local media, among residents and online! One example is the unexpected gesture of one of Pączkarnia’s customers.
An unknown man spontaneously donated PLN 100 for doughnuts for the hospital. It was a very moving and uplifting experience for the Pączkarnia staff.
“A man around 30 years old came to us with a child in a stroller and asked the employee whether he could contribute towards doughnuts for the nurses at the hospital,” Michał Haftarczuk recounts. “I went out to him and told him that he could. The man went home to get his wallet, returned and left a donation of PLN 100,” adds the owner of Pączkarnia.
