Can you write whether there are home quarantine checks in Bolesławiec and how they are carried out? Are people checked, and how? Who conducts these checks?
Asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec:
As part of measures aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus, officers of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec support the work of sanitary services by checking people placed under home quarantine. Uniformed officers—neighborhood police officers—check whether people are at the quarantine location and whether they need assistance. Whenever possible, checks take place near the quarantine location, mainly by telephone, using an official mobile phone, from a distance that makes it possible to confirm the person’s presence at the designated location—without direct contact with people under quarantine.
The spokeswoman adds:
Police officers are also monitoring the grounds of the Bolesławiec hospital, checking whether the visitor ban is being observed and whether people from outside are attempting to contact patients or isolated individuals.
So far, no one has been fined.
The officers:
Police appeal for compliance with the restrictions introduced, cooperation and following the instructions of the services. We remind you that all measures being carried out are motivated by concern for the safety and health of us all.
We would also like to remind you that breaking quarantine may result in a fine of up to PLN 5,000.
