Director Tomasz Słoniec explains what happened yesterday, not only in his store. He assures customers that Carrefour in Bolesławiec is prepared for the situation.
– Deliveries are ongoing and we are working normally, says director Tomasz Słoniec. – Yesterday people suddenly descended on the store, and there is no store that could handle Christmas-level shopping a month before Christmas. Everything should return to normal, but the situation in which a customer cannot find their favourite product in the store and has to choose a substitute may persist for a while. We were prepared for increased shopping, but I admit, not on the scale that occurred yesterday. The situation is dynamic. Someone has to put the goods on the shelves, and we have the capacity we have, explains Tomasz Słoniec.
The director also emphasises the importance of hygiene in the hypermarket and appeals to customers to use payment cards rather than cash in the coming period. Shopping with scan&go is also a convenient and highly responsible option.
– We have always washed the trolleys, but now we do it more often; we also clean the store more frequently. Gloves are available, but customers still need to be taught to use them. Bread will be packaged and will not be freely accessible. We follow all the rules because we care about the safety of ourselves and our customers, assures the director.
