On March 6, officers from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec received a report that an attempted robbery had taken place in one of the shops in the city centre. The perpetrator entered the premises and, threatening a shop assistant with a knife, demanded money. He failed to achieve his goal.
KPP Bolesławiec:
The man was detained within an hour of the incident. A rapid exchange of information between Bolesławiec officers and police officers from SPPP Legnica, who were on duty in Bolesławiec that day, led to the perpetrator’s arrest.
The suspect is a 67-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County. During the proceedings, it emerged that the man had committed two further offences: he had made criminal threats against an employee of another shop.
The court remanded the aggressor in custody for three months. He could face between one and as many as ten years in prison.
