There are now three people suspected of having coronavirus in the hospital in Bolesławiec. We have video showing the moment a woman and a man were brought in by ambulance (he is not suspected of having the disease).

“At present, we are hospitalizing two people suspected of infection. Both cases have been reported to Sanepid. Their general condition is good. The first person’s test was sent to the laboratory in the morning; the second person’s test, for the patient admitted in the afternoon, will be sent tomorrow. The third person will be admitted in the evening. She is a woman from Lwówek Śląski who was stopped at a gas station,” says Kamil Barczyk, director of the hospital in Bolesławiec. In the case of the first patient, however, doctors suspect bacterial rather than viral pneumonia. The results of the first test will be available tomorrow morning.

For clarity, the car stopped at a gas station in Lwówek Śląski contained two people: a 21-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man. They had previously arrived in Poland from Germany, from an area where the presence of coronavirus had been confirmed. Only the woman has symptoms, so only she will be admitted to the hospital in Bolesławiec. The man is to remain at home. The services were reportedly informed about the sick people by their family.

We remind you that if someone has worrying flu-like symptoms:

  • fever
  • cough
  • shortness of breath and breathing problems

MUST NOT GO to a clinic or their doctor, but should:

  • CALL Sanepid (tel. 600 043 978 or 514 413 460) or
  • report directly to the infectious diseases ward of the county hospital (not the A&E department).

Do not use public transportation.
