While patrolling the streets of the city, officers from the Police Station in Bogatynia noticed a Rover car. A 28-year-old Bogatynia resident known to them was behind the wheel.

The officers stopped the car for inspection. “During the intervention, it turned out that the suspect had a plastic bag containing dried plant material. Furthermore, after checking police information systems, it emerged that the driver was subject to two court-ordered driving bans,” says junior inspector Agnieszka Goguł, press officer for the District Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec.

She adds:

The man was arrested. As a result of the actions carried out, police secured marijuana found on him and at his place of residence, from which more than 360 saleable doses could be prepared.

The 28-year-old has already been charged. For the crimes committed, he now faces a sentence of between three months and five years in prison.
