Officers from the Traffic Division of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters, operating as part of the Lower Silesian SPEED group, stopped an intoxicated driver.

“Police officers stopped the vehicle for inspection because its driver was not wearing a seat belt,” says asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters. “During a conversation with the 48-year-old resident of the Nowogrodziec municipality, the officers detected the smell of alcohol. A sobriety test confirmed their suspicions: the man had more than 0.5 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air.

The police confiscated the driver's driving licence. Let us recall: driving while intoxicated carries a penalty of up to 2 years in prison, loss of a driving licence and financial consequences.
