Symbolic thank-you gifts were presented to everyone who helped organize the event. The concert, prepared under the direction of Marek Łętowski by children under the care of the vocal workshop at the Youth Cultural Centre, provided the audience with extraordinary emotions.

For 20 years, one of the largest Christmas wafer meetings in Lower Silesia bringing together communities of people with disabilities has been held in Bolesławiec. More than 600 people with disabilities and their caregivers took part in this year’s meeting. For many of them, it is one of the most important days of the year—an opportunity to leave home and meet friends.

The main organizer is Powiat Bolesławiecki together with the Association of Parents of Children and Youth in Need of Special Care. Great thanks are due to the group of more than 150 volunteers—students from county secondary schools and Public General Secondary School Oxpress, scouts from the Szare Szeregi troop, soldiers of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Brigade, Bolesławiec police officers, municipal guards and the large group of sponsors—Bolesławiec entrepreneurs.

All municipalities in the county, together with their social welfare centres, the Society of Friends of Children, the County Family Support Centre, Caritas, the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre, and BOK–MCC, contributed to organizing the meeting.
