On 19 February, traffic police conducting operations as part of the nationwide Smog campaign stopped a 43-year-old resident of the city who was driving a Ford on Kiepury Street in Jelenia Góra.
“The officers’ attention was drawn by the loud operation of the stopped vehicle’s exhaust system,” says Deputy Inspector Małgorzata Gorzelak of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra. “During the inspection, it turned out that the man did not have a driving licence or a compulsory third-party liability insurance policy, and that the car had not been approved for road use.”
The 43-year-old was fined PLN 700.
