In addition to the currently renovated first platform and the installation of a dynamic passenger information system, the PKP railway station building will also be renovated. And there is good news here. At the beginning of February, PKP S.A. selected the company that will handle this final task—Lindner Polska from Warsaw.

Although approximately PLN 12.80 million had been earmarked for the station renovation, PKP decided to increase the budget in order to conclude the tender—to PLN 15.86 million. (It is worth adding that Lindner Polska is also building the new headquarters of the Bolesławiec police at the intersection of Cieszkowskiego and Modłowa streets.)

What the PKP railway station will look like after its major makeover, we reported last year.

But that is not all. We also reported in our pages on the construction of a transport interchange. The design documentation has already been prepared and is to be verified by the end of April.

Everything therefore indicates that soon both the PKP railway station itself and its surroundings will radically change their appearance. Let us hope that conditions for travelers and safety in the area of the transport interchange will improve significantly.

We will certainly return to this matter.
