We received another report from a reader concerning the condition of Widok Street in Bolesławiec:
[...] for goodness’ sake, it’s only 200 metres of road! Last year, we went as a delegation to Mayor Roman with a written request. But as always, there is no money allocated in the city budget. A commission was supposedly going to come and inspect the condition of the road, but unfortunately it seems nobody came.
Last autumn, MZGM, the Bolesławiec resident reports, added “a little crushed stone, but as usual, after about two weeks there was no sign of it because cars had driven over it.”
The reader stresses:
I would add that several years ago, the neighbours said that the mayor had assured them in writing that the road would be built. Unfortunately, he did not keep his word.
Agnieszka Gergont, spokesperson for Bolesławiec City Hall:
The side section of Widok Street (the passage beneath the railway embankment) is included in the prepared list of road construction and renovation projects. The estimated value of the project is PLN 720,000. The project includes construction of a road with a pavement, together with lighting and drainage. The project was not included in this year’s budget. The investment is planned for implementation in subsequent budgets.
