The incident occurred on February 7, in the early evening. Community police officers from Police Station II in Jelenia Góra went to intervene at one of the houses. The woman reported that her partner was causing a disturbance.

Outside the building, the officers saw a man sitting on a suitcase. The 42-year-old reporting woman stated that an argument had taken place between her and her partner.

– The 42-year-old woman ordered him to pack his belongings and move out of her apartment. In retaliation, the man informed the officers that the woman possessed a firearm without the required permit – explains Deputy Inspector Edyta Bagrowska, spokesperson for the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra.

The woman from Jelenia Góra admitted to possessing the weapon and indicated where it was stored. She could now face between six months and as many as eight years in prison.
