Bolesławiec traffic police, while patrolling streets in the Gromadka municipality, stopped a passenger car for inspection. A 36-year-old man was behind the wheel, and officers could smell alcohol on him. The test confirmed the officers’ suspicions. The driver was drunk. Moreover, it emerged that he did not have a driving licence.
But that was not the end of it. During the inspection, the car’s passenger behaved very nervously. As it turned out, he was carrying drugs. Narcotics were also found at his home. In total, nearly 300 doses of marijuana and methamphetamine were secured.
The driver now faces up to two years in prison. The passenger, meanwhile, could spend as many as three years behind bars.
