While patrolling the city, Lubin police officers from the prevention department noticed a driver of an Audi passenger car shortly after 2 a.m. As the man was driving in a slalom, the officers began to suspect that he was under the influence of drugs.
Their suspicions were confirmed. A drug test showed that the 43-year-old resident of Leżajsk County was under the influence of drugs. He admitted it himself.
“It also quickly became clear that the 43-year-old no longer had a driving licence, as he had lost it in Głogów, precisely for driving a car under the influence of drugs,” says asp. szt. Sylwia Serafin, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lubin.
The spokesperson adds:
The irresponsible man was detained by the patrol and taken to a police cell. His fate is now in the hands of the court.
The 43-year-old could face up to two years in prison.
