Criminal investigators from Jelenia Góra detained a 17-year-old resident of the city who is suspected of possessing significant quantities of drugs.

Police officers intervened in another matter at the apartment of the 17-year-old’s friend. The teenager had been visiting his buddy.

When the officers entered the premises, they detected a strong smell of marijuana. It turned out that the teenage resident of Jelenia Góra had amphetamine on him, in addition to the marijuana mentioned above. And a large quantity at that. “The seized narcotics could yield approximately 150 retail doses,” says Police Inspector Edyta Bagrowska of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra.

The 17-year-old was first taken to the Police Juvenile Room in Legnica and was then placed in one of the Youth Educational Centres in Lower Silesia. He could now face between one and as many as ten years in prison.
