Lubin police were notified about a driver who was heading toward Legnica in a passenger car, swerving from side to side. According to the person who reported the incident, the man behind the wheel of a Ford was driving across the entire width of the road, forcing other drivers to move onto the shoulder. At one point, the reckless driver lost control of the vehicle and drove into a ditch.

At the scene, officers found a 28-year-old resident of Lubin. Inside the car, next to the driver, there was an already empty vodka bottle.

The man was completely drunk. He had more than 3 per mille of alcohol in his system. He explained to the officers that he had argued with his girlfriend and gone for a drive, during which he drank alcohol.

The 28-year-old could now face up to two years in prison.
