Police officers belonging to the SPEED group have repeatedly stopped drivers whose behavior posed a tremendous danger to other road users. When officers see irresponsible drivers, they respond appropriately, removing them from the road and thereby working to ensure the safety of the residents of our county.
A 51-year-old resident of Ścinawa Municipality found this out after he was stopped shortly before the time of reporting in one of the municipality’s localities. The man was driving a passenger car. His driving style aroused the officers’ suspicion that he might be intoxicated.
The officers were not mistaken. A breathalyzer test showed more than 1.2 per mille of alcohol in the man’s system.
The man’s driving licence was confiscated. He may now face up to two years behind bars.
