A tragic accident occurred on Friday, 24 January, at approximately 7:20 a.m., on national road no. 94, between Kawice and Mazurowice (Legnica County).
According to the officers’ preliminary findings, the driver of an Audi—for reasons not yet established—moved into the opposite lane and struck with its side a Mercedes truck travelling correctly in the opposite direction.
Despite resuscitation attempts, the driver and passenger of the car died at the scene.
The police and prosecutor’s office are investigating the case. Investigators appeal for common sense and compliance with road traffic regulations.
