On January 8, at approximately 5:25 p.m., a robbery took place on Grunwaldzka Street in Zgorzelec (the street near the Church of Saint John the Baptist). According to the investigators’ preliminary findings, three men attacked an exchange office employee and stole his bag containing money.
The victim was beaten and taken to hospital.
The perpetrators escaped through the church courtyard and ran out onto Słowackiego Street, where a driver was waiting for them in a vehicle. Zgorzelec police:
