In December last year, the county hospital in Bolesławiec received information from the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity that the Bolesławiec facility would receive two ultrasound machines. One for heart ultrasound examinations (echocardiography), and the other for abdominal ultrasound examinations, including transfontanelle and hip screening.

According to Kamil Barczyk, head of the ZOZ, such equipment costs approximately half a million zlotys.

The director adds that thanks to WOŚP, access to ultrasound examinations in Bolesławiec will increase, particularly at the cardiology clinic.

Both devices are to be delivered to the county hospital in the first quarter of 2020.
