Organizers:

We warmly invite all residents, visitors and tourists to join the joyful procession of the Wise Men from the East. Through singing carols, taking part in the Nativity play and gathering together for the holidays, we want to celebrate the Epiphany.

In accordance with the procession's concept, Bolesławiec has been divided into three lands, representing three continents, which will be represented by the Three Kings: Kacper, Melchior and Baltazar. The star-lit processions will set out from Bolesławiec's parishes:

  • European procession – King Kacper – red:
    • Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, 49 Jarzębinowa Street – after the 12:00 Mass
    • Church of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, 3 E. Orzeszkowej Street – after the 12:00 Mass
    • Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, 1b Ceramiczna Street – after the 11:30 Mass – joining the procession from the Kwiatowe housing estate
  • African procession – King Baltazar – blue:
    • Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 3 Kościelna Street – after the 12:30 Mass
    • Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius, 1 Krótka Street – after the 12:00 Mass
    • Christ the King Church, 20a Jana Pawła II Street
  • Asian procession – King Melchior – green:
    • Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 1b Zamkowy Square – after the 12:30 Mass.

The finale will take place in Bolesławiec's Market Square at approximately 2:00 p.m. Fr. Piotr Kruczyk:

Everyone will join the great procession, which will reach the Bethlehem stable so that the Wise Men from the East and each of us can bow before the Holy Family of Nazareth.

The program on stage includes a Nativity play and communal carol singing, including with American soldiers stationed in Bolesławiec.

Fr. P. Kruczyk:

We encourage you to dress up as characters who appear in traditional Nativity plays, such as Mary, Joseph, a king, shepherd, star bearer, turon, Death, an angel, devil, Herod or a knight.

Crowns, songbooks, balloons, procession flags, stickers, as well as other gadgets and souvenirs will be distributed in front of the churches. A warm, free meal will also be prepared for everyone.
