A chimney soot fire broke out shortly before 6 p.m. on Friday in one of the multi-family houses on Kazimierza Wielkiego Street in Bolesławiec. Firefighters initially searched for the correct location because the caller had given the wrong building number. After a while, they located a chimney in one of the houses, from which thick smoke, flames and sparks were coming.
The firefighters quickly brought the fire under control. The building was not damaged.
We remind everyone to have chimneys inspected annually and flue ducts cleaned.
