A reader informed us about the matter on 20 December, complaining that parking spaces for residents had been occupied by company cars for a long time. We also received photographs of these cars taken in various parts of the estate, at different times and on different days. The reader wrote.

Good morning, I am writing about the man who runs a car-rental company. The company’s registered office is theoretically on another street, but the man keeps all his cars at the estate near Jezierskiego Street. There is nowhere to park because he keeps 10–12 cars there. During the holidays, the car parks are completely overcrowded.

We checked and can confirm that the cars are parked in the estate car park, but on the two occasions we were there, no more than three cars belonging to this company were parked there.

The company manager, whom we contacted about the matter, replied that the photograph sent by the reader showed at most two cars, not 10–12 as the reader claimed. He added that, in his opinion, the cars were not parked near Jezierskiego Street, and that one of the photographs was probably very outdated, because he had been driving one of those vehicles for several days and, at that moment [25 December – editor’s note], the car was somewhere else entirely, as demonstrated by the photograph he sent us. He also wished us a Merry Christmas and a Happy Family Holiday.

The matter is difficult because a correctly parked car cannot be reported anywhere. What remains is the human issue: one person or company parking several cars on housing estates where every parking space is at a premium.
